EDR For Home Brings the SentinelOne Agent Businesses Use to Home PCs and Macs, Set to Protect, From $6.97 a Month
Ahead of holiday scam season, households can run the SentinelOne agent businesses use, set to Protect, plus get a free checklist for vetting AI security advice
CARMEL, IN, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- EDR For Home brings the SentinelOne Singularity agent, the same endpoint protection businesses use, to home PCs and Macs, set to Protect so it stops threats on the device automatically, from $6.97 a month. Households can buy a license for a single device, or for up to 4 or 10 devices, month to month, without the bulk enterprise contract SentinelOne is typically sold under. The timing reflects what home users are facing. The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center received 1,008,597 complaints in 2025, with reported losses of $20.877 billion, a 26% increase from 2024, according to its 2025 Internet Crime Report. Americans 60 and older filed 201,266 complaints and reported $7.748 billion in losses, a 59% increase. Tech support scams, which often end with a victim installing remote-access software on a home computer, accounted for $2,134,675,818 in reported losses. How it works
The SentinelOne agent uses AI on the device to detect malicious behavior, such as a program encrypting files or a script launched from a download, and is set to Protect, so it acts on its own even when the device is offline. Customers choose which alerts they receive. EDR For Home offers two plans that run the same agent:
- Control: AI next-generation antivirus, firewall, USB/Bluetooth device control, 1-click cleanup, and rollback of files after ransomware (rollback is Windows-only). From $6.97 per month for one device; $19.97 per month for up to 4 devices; $39.97 per month for up to 10 devices.
- Complete: Everything in Control, plus Storyline EDR, 14-day history, threat hunting, remote shell and Purple AI, which customers use themselves in their own console. From $15.97 per month for one device.
The agent runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. After purchase, customers receive a SentinelOne site token by email and install the agent themselves using EDR For Home's online Help Center. EDR For Home plans are software only: no one monitors customers' devices, and there is no 24/7 monitoring or support. Email support aims to reply within 1–2 business days.
A checklist for AI-era shopping
As more consumers ask AI assistants which security software to buy, EDR For Home is also publishing a free guide on how to check those recommendations: open the cited sources, confirm test results on independent labs' own sites (such as AV-Comparatives, AV-TEST and MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations), check the date, and treat unsourced "best" or "#1" claims with caution.
"Most families have tax files, saved banking logins and work files on the same computer the kids use for games," said Joshua Fetzer, CTO of EDR For Home. "We wanted a household to be able to run the same SentinelOne agent a company would, set to protect itself automatically, for the price of a streaming subscription. We're also clear about what it isn't: it's software, not a person watching your computer."
